This year through PHC recruitment we gave 13 girls bids! We were so excited get them! Here we held our Sapphire Ceremony true to Beta Lambda Psi.  We cut up tee shirts with the 40 girls that visited us this night in order to make dog toys for the community!  Such a fun time meeting all the 60+ girls that attended open house!  Way to go seniors! We cant wait to see the things you do and come visit soon! This year we said goodbye to our seniors as they graduate. We have games, speeches, and goodbyes during this event. We love you all and cant wait to see what you do.  Every spring we have our Kiss the Pig fundraiser where members of the community are nominated from organizations and then whoever raises the most money will be the one to kiss Pigleta, the pig. This year Lucas form Alpha Nu Omega was the winner and would be the one to kiss her. We raised over $255 for Kiss the Pig this year! We are so happy to announce our new Beta Beefcake for 2019-2020 SJ! He has been getting to know us throughout the semester and we couldn't be happier to award him this. Congrats SJ and we are so excited! Banquets are a great time for Paddle reveals and awards. This banquet we give out our awards such as Highest GPA and Most Studious. Every year at the end of Greek Week, UMD Greek Life puts on a banquet to commemorate those organizations who showed greatness. We had such a great time and loved supporting all of Greek Life! Every year we look forward to the Polar Plunge. This year we raised over $3100 for Special Olympics through donations for Beta! This is one of our highest years and we are so excited for next years! This semester we went roller skating with Phi Kappa Psi and had a great time! This semesters pinning was a success! We pinned 3 new sisters in training and we are so excited to get to know them! Every semester our Wellness & Risk Management chair puts on a self defense workshop for all of us by the campus police. It is a great event where we learn a lot and get to show off our skills! Once a year Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity puts on a benefit dinner in hopes of raising money for their philanthropy, St. Jude's Children's Hospital. We were so happy to attend and support our beefcake, Nick, who is a current member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. This semester we celebrated Halloween in a fun way- by decorating cookies! We loved meeting all of the new members and being spooky! It's a tradition to do three legged bowling with Alpha Delta every semester and we had so much fun this semester! Every semester we go and clean our highway for the day! Here we were able to bring some sisters in training with us to learn about keeping care of the highway!  We love roller skating and we're so happy we got to spend some time with Phi Kappa Tau! This was such a fun event! We love spending time with our sisters and getting to know our sisters in training, here we got together and painted pots! We were so excited to see the looks on their faces when they met their bigs! This was so much fun and we were so happy with our choices! This was our first time mini golfing with the brothers of Tau Kappa Epsilon and we had a great time! |
